MELISSA'S TEACHING STATEMENT

Music has been my life- composing and performing, collaborating and last but not least teaching students of all ages the joys of learning piano!

I have 20 years of experience adapting my pedagogy to students of different ages, background and ability in the Montreal area.

My strength is helping students foster their own personal connection with music! I feel that my teaching style can be described as holistic.

I love teaching all kinds of piano concepts especially rhythm and technique but most of all, I like to show students that they can learn a piece by breaking it down and using their skills. It’s definitely an experience they can apply to all aspects of life.
